January MAPTA
MUSIC QUIZ BOWL ~
This event is open to non-members.
This event is held in January at Mount Mary University for students, age 18 and younger, of any piano teacher.
There are four levels of oral competition and students compete in teams of three.
Each round has 30 minutes of questions.
Points are awarded for correct answers and winning team members receive trophies.
Family members are welcome to attend and
cheer for their student!
Auditions are held in March in Wauwatosa, WI. Students must have studied with current teacher for at least 6 months. Teacher must be a member of MAPTA, shall have attended at least 1 of the previous 3 meetings and must volunteer at the audition.

Students make a video of 2 pieces and earn a medal.

Solo, Duet & Trios welcome

Adults may perform in duet with child, both pay enty fees

Open to Piano, Strings, Guitar, Harp and Voice

OUTSTANDING SOLO each age competes separatelyfor ages 5-18

DUET & TRIO - adults may participate

POP & JAZZ COMPETITIONS ages 5-18

Students compete in groups for Trophies

Recital of all the winners with presentation of trophies at the end of the competition day.
