The Milwaukee Area Piano Teachers Association, referred to as MAPTA, was established for the primary purpose of uniting piano teachers in an association that will stimulate professional relationships and musical growth.  ​​Established in Milwaukee, it now accepts piano teachers from any state.

• We award $1,425 in annual Young Artist Competition awards.​

​​

• We sponsors the Summer Music Festival for teahcers and students in piano, voice, strings, accordion and harp.

​

• We sponsor an Outstanding Solo, Duet, Trio and Pop & Jazz Competitions for students ages 5-18, plus some events in which parents may participate!

​

• We sponsor the annual Honors Auditions and Trophy Auditions in March with tophies for awards.

​

• This year, we are sponsoring a NEW event, a Music Quiz Bowl in January 2026.

• We have Senior Scholarship for students who have part​icipated in Honors Auditions for 7 or more years.

​​
